Antibacterial Lotion for Sensitive Skin

This lotion works not just as skin softener but as germ buster as well. Glyceryl laurate and glycerin provide moisture while lemon and PCMX sanitize the skin.

Ingredients:                                      Percent Weight:

Phase A

Distilled water                                               82.70

Glycerin                                                          5.00

Tetrasodium EDTA, 40%                                   0.25

Phase B

Dow Corning 200 Fluid, 350cs                           4.00
(polydimethylsiloxane)

Distearyldimonium chloride                               2.50

Cetyl alcohol                                                  2.00

Glyceryl laurate                                               3.00

Phase C

Lemon (Citrus limon) oil                                   0.25

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) acetate                          0.20

Parachlorometaxylenol                                     0.10
(PCMX)

Phase D

Lactic acid                                                      q.s.

Procedure:

Mix ingredients of phases A and B in separate bowls. Heat separately both mixtures to 70°C or until waxes in phase B melt. Add phase B into A and mix thoroughly. Cool batch to 45°C. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Adjust pH level to 6.0 with lactic acid. When mixture is smooth, pour it into sterilized plastic tubes.
